My New Overlay from ManaMoon at Etsy

I have to say that Sharon from http://www.manamoonstudios.etsy.com/ did a fabulous job on my overlays for all of my photographs. She also did an overlay for my new shop which is opening up sometime in November 2008 "Shotee Honee" Where Magical Things Happen http://www.shoteehonee.etsy.com/. This overlay is for my shop http://www.crowhavenfarm.etsy.com/ which I just love. Sharon coordinated my banners to match my overlays. Now, if I can just find the time to figure out my photoshop and add these cool overlays on my pictures! LOL
Sharon also designed my new business card for my new shop! They came out great!

Things in the studio are taking a place on the back burner for awhile... as my girlfriend from http://www.thegigglinggoblin.etsy.com/ and I are having a major clear out of our studios. I'm still working on our attic! However, I did manage to get the house decorated for the Halloween Festivities! I think my husband died when he came into the house after mowing the lawn and saw that the magical characters where bopping about the house! I'll post some pictures up once I download them onto my computer.

As of October 1st, my house will not be connected to the internet! We are going back to the day where your light came from candles! We don't even have TV... which is a beautiful thing, because we listen to music and music is always playing in our house! I LOVE IT!
I won't totally be without internet... I do have a day office job...arrrrggghhhhh..LOL Hope everyone is well and creating magical things!
Until next time...Cheers!

WE ARE HAVING A CLEAR OUT!

It's clear out time! My studio is going to be going under a drastic clear out for the next several weeks. As you can tell by this picture, I need to start going through all of my bits and bops before they start attacking me as I'm working!
The first thing that has to be done is the attic has to be cleaned out and all of the Halloween goodies need to find their place throughout our home! Once this is done, then I can go through my studio and start clearing out some containers that need to be brought up to the attic to give me more space to work in. However, to all of those out that know me, knows that I like to have all of my bits and bops at arms length and have all of my wonderful fabrics, yarns, paints, sculpting tools, clay, and my wonderful paint brushes all around me! My house has paint brushes in every room, because you just never know when you will need one on the spot! It could be a split second when I decide to paint my hair, paint the wall, paint a jar, or even paint the cat! You can't have to many paint brushes.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and hopefully I'll have some updated pictures of the studio for you. This weekend create something and share it with someone that you love!
Cheers!

What I will be doing this WEEKEND!

Ok, my intention this weekend is to work on these little guys that have been hanging out in my studio window getting some sun! They want to be dressed and get ready for their moment in time! Wish me luck! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I'll let you know how I made out this weekend!
Cheers!

Sunflowers Took A Beating During The Storm!

This weekend they were calling for rain, and let me just say...we got a lot of it, which we desperately needed. As for these beautiful sunflowers, they all came down during the storm, so we cleaned them up, cut off the heads for the birds and drove them down to the burn pile! Apparently ...not only are the birds loving these sunflowers, the chipmunks like them too! LOL

Hope you all had a great weekend... mine of course was way to short! Here is a few photographs of my weekend...

I need to paint my toes Pink!

The Heads...they always make the HEADS! These little guys are just waiting for their bodies...
Unfortunately I ran out of GESSO.... I made the mistake of buying a big quart of BLACK GESSO instead of WHITE.... arrrggghhh... So these are waiting to be primed!
Until next time...
Cheers!

Canvas Waiting For Some Paint

Ok, I don't know about any of you out there... but it seems to me there isn't enough time in the day to be creative and bring solitude to my soul! Especially if you have a day gig! Meaning...I WANT TO PLAY IN MY STUDIO ALLLLLLLL DAYYYYYYYY LONGGGGGGGGG and I don't want to go to my OFFICE JOB!!!!! Unfortunately, there are bills to pay and as you can see from the photograph above... the canvas aren't painting themselves! LOL My girlfriend from www.wadsworthnollstudio@blogspot.com was very kind to hand over some blank canvas for me to play with! Now if I can find the time to get them completed!

Ok, another cosmic question to put out there...I'm I the only one that is totally exhausted? Is there some type of chemical being put into the air that is making me feel like I got slammed by an 18 Wheeler? However, I do have to say that on Saturday mornings...I'm up at the crack of dawn flipping on the crockpot full of wax, turning the tunes on, getting my pallette ready with interesting colors that dance on the wax paper ready to be used... oh... and.... yes.... COFFEE! Maybe that is the key...COFFEE! Or is it that I WANT TO BE HOME IN MY STUDIO!!!!!!! I VOTE ON THAT ONE!

I did have a wonderful Labor Day... I know that on Monday, Labor Day my husband and I put a blanket underneath one of our trees, I grabed a handful of art supplies...oh and of course a BIG bottle of wine and we just spent the afternoon, laughing, drinking, talking, and listening to tons of music. It was such a beautiful day and I didn't want it to end. I sealed that day into my brain and Tuesday morning I kept trying to recall that exact feeling that I had only 16 hours earlier... I'm sad to say, it only work for a little bit and then reality sat in on the left side of brain! I guess those are the moments we need to channel into to help us get through the day when you feel like throwing up your hands and saying &*^% %!!

Until next time, take a look at Baby Petals. She will be posted in my Etsy Shop at the end of the month. She is getting ready for her photo session! Wish her well!

Until next time...Cheers!
