Go out and get this book. I'm huge fan of Lynne Perrella and this is her latest book! It also features various other artists and Lisa Kaus has her mixed-media Cakes in here. What a wonderful and exciting book...it just makes you want to get out there and find old, vintage, objects, grab some boxes, paper, glue, paint and get messy! I found it on Amazon.com. I know B&N carries it, but due to the costs of everything going up, Amazon is cheaper!
Also, Stampington is putting out another publication...Check it out. The deadline is June 15, 2008 for your stuffed doll, etc... Hope to see Denise in this....Denise, did you get your dolls in? LOL
So what is your States' Gas PRICES? PA is at $3.92 on average. Anyone else want to chime in? It will be quite interesting to see how what people are going to do. I feel sorry for people who have to drive 50 miles to get to work. I sure don't know how people are going to continue to do that when gas prices get up to 6/8 bucks a gallon. I guess we all need to start riding our bikes to work! LOL That will be interesting in the winter time. Wouldn't it be nice to turn the world around and have everyone buy handmade items.
HELP THE STARVING ARTISTS! SUPPORT THE ARTS!!!!!!!!! USE YOUR TAX CHECK AND BUY SOMETHING HANDMADE!
Be Happy, Laugh, and Create...And tell someone you LOVE THEM TODAY?
Cheers!

It's Friday and it's 5:00 p.m. SOMEWHERE!
"To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe." - Anatole France
As I'm sitting here at my computer, I'm looking out the window from my office building and realizing how blessed we are with these HUGE WINDOWS overlooking the City of Bethlehem. What a charming day out! I know most people want the sun shining and warm weather, but there is something to be said about a steady rain! It reminds me of London. Any whoooo......As you can see by the picture to the left of this screen, "Apron.ology!" I can't wait to see the creations that people are going to be making in this new publication by Stampington Company. Keep an eye out for all of their new publications! I was actually scheduled to start sewing lessons a few months ago, but with the everyone's crazy schedule, and getting over the flu, etc....well now I can say that it has finally happened. I'm now locked in on June 4, 2008 and have booked the entire Summer! I will be attending the Purrfect Stitches Workshop every Wednesday and I can't wait! I'll be dropping off my sewing machine to get her cleaned so she is ready to go on June 4th. I've been looking forward to this new adventure. I've been sewing for a couple of years, but nothing like what I'll be doing now. I can't wait! At the workshop with the Frouds in New York City, we used a lot of glue dots and glue guns... I don't think that would work for grown-up skirts! HAHAHA
As I was surfing people's blogs, I have daily blogs I visit, I came across this picture. What a charming little studio that would make. Now, if I weighed 10 lbs, and was 2 feet tall....it would be the perfect the place! LOL
I hope you all enjoy your weekend...Create something wonderful, laugh, have a drink and tell someone you LOVE THEM!

WEEKEND IN NYC WITH THE FROUDS!
I attended a Workshop in New York City with my girlfriend, Tracey and my husband. We had the opportunity to take a workshop at The Compleat Sculptor, Inc. which is in SoHo on Vandam and Hudson Streets with the FROUDS! Wendy Froud and her son, Toby were just amazing. I have been waiting a very long time to meet them, let alone take a workshop from the amazing, wonderful people! Sherri, their Art Director was so helpful with getting us into the city and directing us to the workshop. Sherri was a great help to all of us, pulling clay, cutting wire, unloading bags of fabric, and trying to keep up from not burning each other with the glue guns! LOL
I will never forget this experience and I so look forward to taking their Advance Workshop either in NYC again in the Spring, or hopefully they will get a workshop together in the Philadelphia area. Either way, I'm there...as I'm sure all the other wonderful people I met at the class. So many talented people out there!
HERE, HERE to the FROUDS for letting us create and helping us pave the way to an ARTISTIC LIFE!!!!! Thank you again everyone!
Enjoy some of the photographs that I took. That little guy right above here, is my little "Earl Grey, from Cottswood Forest" He is not completed, but once I finish him, I will post him on my blog for everyone to see. As you can tell by the coffee cups in the picture, Tracey and I love STARBUCKS!!!!!!!! WHOOO WHOOOOO HORTON HEARS A STARBUCKS! LOL
