Tag Swap, Art Supplies, & The Ellen Doll

Greetings and Salutations Everyone! It's Wednesday, which means we have 2 more days until Friday! LOL I'm hoping to spend some time in the studio, which has taken a back seat here for last couple weeks, so Studio Madness will Resume soon!

Over at Art Dolls Only, we have a couple of challenges going on, and the first one is the "The Ellen Doll." These Dolls will be travelling to California in hopes that "Ellen" will get the word out to everyone about "ART DOLLS" and how they change people's lives! Here is the Art Doll that I will be submitting to the "Ellen Show." I hope you all like her. I need to make a scarf using this fabric...What fun and it's got PINK in it!
The thing about having a day job...when you get home and are making your way to your front door, my step gets a little quicker when I see boxes by the door! I don't keep track of the emails that get sent after you make your purchases with the shipping date, etc...so I never know what is going to be waiting for me when I get home! However, the mailman always leaves those darn bills...I keep telling her take them and not to leave them for me, but she never listens to me! LOL

This Book is the BOMB. If you have ever wanted to know about color...well, this is the Mother Load of COLOR. David E. Carter sets it out for you. I learned about this book from Suzi Blu and I have to thank her for sharing this on her site. Awesome book and worth every penny!

Love, Love, Love Art Magazines. Especially the publications from Stampington & Co. Next year they are coming out with 4 new publications and one of them is called "Primitives." Don't forget, they are looking for artists to submit work and the deadline is November 15, 2009. Believe me...that date will sneak up really fast, so get your artwork in now, rather than later!

Okay, I totally went nuts when getting my MOLESKINE'S! Check out the Mother Load of MOLESKINE! I thought the 5 x8 1/4 were the BOMB...well, this one is 11 3/4 x 16 1/2. The pages within are not as thick like the regular size, but who cares! Add a coat of gesso to the page and off you go! Can't wait to play in that MOLESKINE! hehehehe I actually ordered 3 of the regular ones, because the workshops that I'm taking are starting to use these and if it weren't for these workshops, I would have never known about these amazing journals. Just love them! Try them out...I guarantee you will fall in love with them!

I'm involved with Tag Swap and the Theme is "Marie Antoinette." I'm starting to receive my tags everyday in the mail and it's exciting to see how they are all coming out from the various artist's that are participating in this Swap. The picture above are from Becky over at www.whymsicalmusings.blogspot.com, MaryAnn from www.followyourblissdesigns.com, Terri from www.terrisbloomingideas.blogspot.com, and Elaine from www.elaineathome.blogspot.com. I absolutely love them and can't wait to see the others.

Here are pictures of the Tags that I made for my fellow Tag Swapper's!

I really, really enjoyed this Tag Swap, and I hope to get involved with more.
Until Next Time...
Cheers!

Hi Michelle! Thank you so much for the tag! Burnt orange is my favorite color, and I love the textured flourishes you put on it!

Could you please let me know if you received two tags from me? One person emailed me and said their envelope was empty!

Thanks!
Lori
