Studio Madness...Workshops, Journal Pages, & Challenges

So...Are we having a Good Weekend? It's almost 5:00 p.m. here Sunday Night and I'm wrapping up my weekend here at the Studio...my Big Glass of Wine is patiently waiting for me...Oh my...LOL

Here we go...First up, I belong to group on Ning "E.V.B. Studios" and Marie is freaking incredible. Please if you haven't stopped over there yet, please do so! You will love it...especially if you love freaking CLAY...which I know a lot of you do...hehehe http://evbstudiohome.ning.com/ This is what I worked on this weekend in her class.

People, Marie is offering this class for $10.00! Yeah...$10 bucks and look at what you learn. What a fun class this was and the participation was awesome! I still have to paint these guys...eeekkkk

I'm working on this commissioned piece, and I'm having a heck of a time with the darn tree...not sure where this is going, but hoping that bolt of lightening strikes my brain, because I have to finish it before Mother's Day!

Okay, have you guys started your Journal Pages? My last weekend post I showed you a really cheap way of getting your pages ready and started. Sharyn, from one of my workshops, and art buddy, showed me this incredible way to lay down paint, and to help me get over that "BLANK CANVAS" Syndrome... Trust me, it freaking works and I'm having a ball with these...I'm not writing or getting the collage stuff out just yet, I'm just throwing down the paint and adding layers and layers of gesso and paint, coffee grinds, walnut stain, Alcohol Inks by Adirondack and just having a good old time! Blasting the tunes in the studio, and just rocking out with the paper towels, paint brushes, sponges and PAINT! Try IT...YOU WILL LOVE IT and become obsessed with this ...I know I have...Oh lord ...I'm in trouble! LOL

Now Remember ... all these are Manila File Folders...Make sure you get the HEAVY WEIGHT Ones. A box of 100 costs about 5 bucks at Staples.

My POWER FOOD in the STUDIO! Yummiessssss

Okay more Journal Pages....

MORE JOURNAL PAGES NEXT WEEK!

I'm also involved over at Nancye's Art Dolls - http://www.nancyesartdolls.ning.com Which by the way, Nancye is offering some amazing Workshops there too! I'm in her "Heads & Face" Workshop and "The Doll Bust" Workshop, and I was able to watch some of the videos and work on my Doll Bust. Once she is completed, I'll post her, but for now...this is what I can show you on another piece that I'm working on:
He actually started out as a female, but in the weeeee hours of the night, it turned into this DUDE! LOL!!!!!
Now over at DAG, we have started our 2nd Quarterly Challenge and this is what we are going to be working on...However, I have not started mine yet...I'm still trying to figure out what exactly I'm going to be doing, because this Challenge means so many different things to me! However, It so is going to be all about HALLOWEEN! So Stay Tuned on this one!
I hope you all had a very creative and wonderful weekend...as I'm sure you all did. Now, I must get caught up on my blogs that follow and check you all out to see what you have been up to over the weekend!
Until Next Time...
CHEERS!
