Weekend at The Studio at Crow Haven Farm

I have to say...even for myself...I had a very busy weekend. My girlfriend from Nancye's Art Dolls came over to my house on Saturday and we started working on our Tags that we are involved with over at www.nancyesartdolls.ning.com. Some of the members over there are putting together a Tag Book. The project was to make Tags for everyone that is involved and send them to Nancye so she can make us a Tag Book from all of the participants. Here is what I made...they will be shipped off tomorrow to join the Tag Swap Book...I used Pouting Amelia as my Art Doll...there is just something about her that I absolutely love...may be it's the pout...LOL
Sharyn and I also started working on our Journal Pages for the Art Doll Journal that we are starting over at Nancye's Art Dolls. Unfortunately, we only got a few pages done, but you know me...later that night this is what happened!
Now I am going to show you an extremely cheap and easy way to make your own beautiful journals.

Step One

Take a plain folder (you buy a box of 100 at Staples for 5.00) Make sure you get the heavy weight ones! Punch holes using a three hole punch.

Step 2
Gesso your Folder and let it dry.

Step 3
Start playing and having fun. Use watercolors, acrylics, modeling paste, stamps, inks, pictures, whatever your heart tells you use and put on the page...Just get color on there. It's amazing what happens...I've never been one to journal and when Sharyn showed me this simple way of making journal pages to get over that "BLANK CANVAS" SYNDROME.... Well...Look what happens! LOL

Now, for my Team over at DAG, our Tombstone Challenge is due tomorrow...This is what I created for the Challenge...I really like how she came out. I haven't name her yet...Still hasn't come to me... Usually the names come to me in the wee hours of the morning! LOL

I had to post some pictures that took early this morning as the sun was rising...It's a rainy, foggy, London Day here in Pennsylvania! Great Studio Day! whooohoooo!!!!!

My Farm Boots...now where are Allen's...Oh, yes....he has them on as he is making his way down to see our neighbors new little chicks!

I absolutely love getting up Sunday Mornings, sitting on our porch, drinking my coffee and hearing nothing, but the silence of morning!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend...it's not over just yet. I will be finishing up some other things and then making my way downstairs for some homemade meat sauce...that I can smell from all the way up to my Studio...hehehehehe I hope you enjoyed your stay with me today and have a safe and beautiful Sunday....
Until next time...
CHEERS!

If I were single, I'd hitchhike my way up north just to land at the Studio at Crow Haven Farm ... no worries, I'd bring a tent, but would appreciate the occasional restroom access ... *smiles* ... a girl can dream, eh?

your tags turned out GREAT; Pouting Amelia was the PERFECT choice.

And thanks for sharing that DIY journal - what a clever, clever idea ... hmmm ... me thinks me needs to make one ... somtime before 2020. :) your pages are simply wonderful.

OH! and that Tombstone!! I had no idea where you were going to end up with her, but you totally outdid yourself - I love all of her accessories. Nice. Very nice.

ps - I seriously want to live there. :)

I want to live there too!
Beautiful pictures and as wonderful as sunny days are, I do love foggy, dreary days when they happen in such an idealic
setting!

Michelle thanks for your little tut on the journal pages! Filed away for future use (hahaha! key word there is "future").

Your tags are great as is your tombstone - I'm exhausted seeing how productive you were.
